In the context of telematics in the USA, ELD refers to the Electronic Logging Device. This electronic hardware connects directly to a commercial vehicle's diagnostic port. Its primary function is to automatically track hours of service to ensure compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations, fulfilling the mandate to eliminate the need for paper logs.

Another key component of the solution is the transfer of OBD-II and OEM data. This is facilitated by Bluetooth® connectivity, ensuring seamless communication with ELD-compliant trackers. Leveraging this wireless connection, the system can effortlessly capture and share vital vehicle information, increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of ELD-compliant tracking devices. Overall, the solution provides increased data security and loss prevention, as well as improved dispatching, routing, and reporting in the customer's internal fleet management system.

FMC00A & FMM00A - ELD COHERENT GPS TRACKERS

We've expanded our offerings for the US market with the introduction of the FMC00A and FMM00A, now ELD-compliant, Plug & Play, 4G LTE Cat 1 and 4G LTE Cat M1 vehicle trackers. In addition to standard OBD-II data, these Teltonika devices capture OEM parameters, such as fuel level and odometer readings.

As we prioritise the rapidly growing electric vehicle sector, these products also track critical data points, such as remaining range, battery voltage, status, temperature, and ignition status, enriching our OBD data reading portfolio. Overall, the FMC00A and FMM00A tracking models provide companies with comprehensive, real-time insight into their vehicle fleets, enabling improved operational efficiency, cost savings, and safety.

J1939 PROTOCOL SUPPORT IMPLEMENTED

With the ELD-compliant FMC00A and FMM00A, we are also extending our reach beyond light-duty vehicles to heavy-duty vehicles in the American market. With full integration of the SAE J1939 protocol, our customers can now access OBD-II and OEM data from leading truck brands including Freightliner, Peterbilt, Kenworth, Volvo, Mack, Hino (Toyota), Isuzu and others.

Supporting more than 30 parameters, these devices effortlessly capture dashboard mileage, RPM, VIN, engine hours, CAN data, ignition, DTC count and more. The parameters mentioned can vary significantly depending on the specific truck model. This versatility increases the value and cost-effectiveness for more diverse fleet types and opens up wider business prospects.
