Teltonika video telematics is constantly evolving to bring the latest technology to businesses around the world. Fatigue camera technology is crucial for fleet owners as driver fatigue is a leading cause of road accidents. This is why we are pleased to announce the launch of the new Teltonika DSM - a driver safety and monitoring solution.
Fatigued driving and related accidents can have significant financial and operational consequences for fleet owners - loss of life and/or injury, vehicle damage or loss, increased insurance claims, and reduced productivity and efficiency. It is evident that driver safety and monitoring solutions must be in place if we are to reduce the possibility of tragic accidents and avoid the unpleasant costs of accidents, especially for fleet owners.
The new Teltonika DSM solution has deep learning technology to detect alarming events by scanning and calculating the driver’s head position, face direction, eye-opening, and mouth opening/closing. If it detects drowsiness or distraction, the driver is alerted. In addition, all event data and images are sent to a dedicated server for further monitoring and analysis.
The driver safety and monitoring solution consists of the compact DSM camera mounted on the vehicle windscreen (next to the A-pillar) and the Teltonika FMC640 professional vehicle GPS tracker, both connected via an RS232 serial port interface.
